Com o nome de ‘Sob Suspeita’, este filme foi lançado no Brasil no ano 2000. Henry Hearst (Gene Hackman) é um advogado rico e famoso que está passando um tempo em San Juan, Porto Rico. De repente, vê-se envolvido em sérias acusações criminais. Não há muita ação neste filme. Um pouco de suspense, talvez. O forte do enredo é um estudo da psicologia humana, talvez da própria alma humana. Se você gosta deste tipo de assunto, vai adorar o filme. Além de Hackman, há a participação do excelente Morgan Freeman.

Como em seus outros filmes, Frank Darabont faz um excelente trabalho de direção nesta obra de 1994, no Brasil lançado com o título de “Um Sonho de Liberdade”. O personagem de  Tim Robbins (atuação espetacular), Andy Dufresne, acaba indo para a prisão por um erro judiciário, ou “por estar no lugar errado, na hora errada”. Não desanima, porém....e veja o que ele consegue...O presonagem Elles Boyd Redding, interpretado também com maestria pelo sempre excelente Morgan Freeman, colega de prisão, narra a história. Posso dizer com segurança, que esta é uma das melhores películas dos últimos 20 anos. Esse também você precisa assistir se ainda não o fez.

Vale a pena transcrever uma fala de Elles para Andy sobre a “esperança” de um dia sair da prisão:

 “Let me tell you something, my friend. Hope is a dangerous thing. Hope can drive a man insane. “
